Poetry : On Being a Man

Pity the boy who has not become a man
Who has not walked where a man must walk
Down the dank lane of loneliness, despair, frustration, rage
The wild bull, penned up, bellows fearsomely
Yet there is a cry of desperation, a longing to be understood
Will anyone hear me?

I often go by the name male_poet. Many times I've been asked, "Why male_poet?" To which I usually reply, "Why not? I'm male and I write poetry." It works for me.

Poems on being a man:

Be a man

Dreamer

Wild Man
